What is CW-Tube/optimization hot dip galvanized elliptical fin tube?

The hot dip galvanized elliptical fin tube has been demonstrating its maketability for decades and will continue to play an outstanding role on the heat exchanger market in the future. CW Tube is an optimization hot dip galvanized elliptical fin tube in which we investigated the effects of innovative turbulators on the fins using numerical flow simulation (CFD). Wind tunnel measurements were used to validate the results. The elliptical fin tube has demonstrated its high efficiency in various areas of application wherever heat transfer is required in industrial production processes.

These advantages are combined with increased product reliability, even in extreme conditions.

Because of the reduced specific air-side pressure drop while maintaining a higher heat transfer coefficient, the CW Tube requires up to 25% fewer heat exchanger tubes and up to 30% less electrical power consumption of the fans. This pays off in a variety of ways, including reduced investment and operating costs. Simultaneously, the environment will be protected through reduced CO2 and noise emissions.

The CW Tube/Optimization elliptical fin tube provides excellent thermodynamics and there is reduced pressure loss on the air side, due to a lower vortex formation. Additional baffle surfaces/ turbulators achieve very good heat transfer coefficients. These tube types are galvanized in a dipping bath to provide optimum corrosion protection.
