There are several materials depending on the use and operation of the heat exchange. The most often used materials are aluminum and alloy, which are also among the common materials, along with copper, brass, nickel, titanium, stainless steel and carbon steel.

Aluminum Extruded Fin Tube is used in over 30 industries, including barley malt, paper mill, timber drying, tobacco, food processing, coal mining, petrochemical, chemical fiber, construction materials, printing and dyeing. Meanwhile, they are also supplementing equipment such as air conditioners, drying ovens, drying rooms and air coolers.

What is extruded aluminum fin tube?

Extruded aluminum fin tube is rolled as an integrity with no thermal contact resistance, high intensity and resistance to thermal shock and mechanical shock. Heat exchangers constructed with this type of fin tube (extruded fin type) outperform those constructed with string fin tubes or spiral wound fin tubes (L/LL/KL type fin).

Copper and aluminum composited fin tubes are rolled from a muff copper tube and benefit from a tight link, low thermal resistance, good heat transfer efficiency, low flow loss, and high corrosion resistance. They are durable and not easily deformed when working for an extended period of time in heating and cooling conditions.

Integral extruded fin tubes have a smooth surface and are straightforward to clean. It is simple to remove the water that condenses on the fins outer surface during wet cooling in heating and air conditioning projects, but it is more difficult to remove dust and scale from heat exchangers and other heating and cooling systems.

Fin tube heat exchangers should have good solderability and formability, as well as higher mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity. Despite this, aluminum and alloys exhibit extension and higher tensile strength increases at lower temperatures. They are widely used all over the world, particularly for low temperature and compact heat exchange.
