Tube Plate & Tubeplate & Boiler Components

A tubeplate is a crucial component in heat exchangers, typically consisting of two tubeplates connected by tubes and installed within a sealed vessel. This setup allows fluid within the vessel to transfer energy to the fluid inside the tubes without any direct contact between the two fluids. Several methods can be employed to seal the tubes to the tubeplates, as shown in the illustration featuring a tubeplate prepared for tube expansion. Heat exchangers commonly incorporate baffles positioned between the tubeplates. These baffles, drilled to match the tubeplate pattern, help stabilize the tubes and guide fluid flow around them.
Tube Plate Standards & Tubeplate Standards

Tubeplate Standards Since tubeplates are custom designed, there is no universal standard governing their dimensions. However, there are standards that specify the design of the tubeholes.
Tube plates/Tubeplates Sealing Face

Features a spiral surface finish to standard specifications. Tubeplates typically have well-defined sealing surfaces, which may include spiral sealing faces or, in the case of floating tubeplates, an O-ring seal. Specialized finishes such as galvanizing, PTFE coatings and linings, as well as various epoxy finishes, are also available. The finishes are identical to those under ASME/ANSI B16.5. The spiral sealing face is a specified finish typically Ra 3.2µm-6.3µm.
Materials for Tube plates/Tubeplates and Baffles

Produces tubeplates and baffles from materials that meet customer specifications and testing requirements. Tubeplates are generally made from forged carbon or stainless steels, including forgings like A105, A350 LF2, and A350 LF3, along with forged stainless options. Baffles are often constructed from plate materials, such as mild steel or A240-316L. We can also supply less common materials like Super Duplex 2205 and Incoloy 625 upon request.
