What is the Turbulator?

The turbulator, usually composed of a series of twisted metal sheets or wires, is installed inside the tubes of heat exchanger and is a device used to increase the heat exchange area and improve the heat exchange efficiency.
When two fluids with different temperatures flow in the tubes, the turbulator will change the flow state of the fluid, turning the originally relatively stable laminar flow into a complex turbulent flow, effectively transferring heat from the fluid to the heat exchange tube wall. At the same time, turbulence increases the mixing and disturbance inside the fluid, making the heat transfer more uniform and efficient.
The Turbulator Advantages:
⚑ Reduce the total thermal resistance of the heat exchanger during heat transfer, greatly improving the heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger
⚑ Can effectively inhibit the formation of dirt
⚑ Increase the heat transfer area in the heat exchange tube and enhance the heat transfer efficiency
