What is ASTM A335-P5 Studded Pipe?

ASTM A335-P5 Studded Pipe included base pipe as per ASTM A335-P5 and Alloy 5%Cr studs.

The ASTM A335-P5 studded pipe is used in the convection chamber of a heating furnace to increase the heat transfer coefficient at the fuming side in the petrochemical industry. studded Tubes are twice or three times the size with same heat transfer area. The hot strength can be obtained as the same as radiation in the reasonable design due to the use of studded Tubes. Our company uses the resistance welding method to manufacture Studded Tubes. The welding process is managed by a PLC program. A servo motor is used for the feeding motor and the graduation. The human-computer interface can be used to set the studded number. To ensure product quality and precision, the graduation parameter and compensating coefficient can be set according to technical requirements.

ASTM A335-P5 Studded Pipe Application and Work Principle

1. The equipment is only used to weld studded tubes. This equipment produces studded tubes, which are an energy-efficient heat exchange component. It is best suited to high temperature areas due to its high heat transfer efficiency and bearing pressure. It is primarily used in waste heat recovery, petrochemicals, power station boiler heat exchange systems, and other industries.

The use of studded tubes in a petrochemical industry heating furnace convection chamber can increase the smoke side heat transfer coefficient. The surface area of studded tubes is two to three times that of light tubes. Under the right conditions, studded tubes can produce the same heat intensity as radiation.

2. Studded tube is an integrated heat exchange component that has been welded using power frequency contact type resistance welding and upsetting force fusion welding.

3. The machine uses dual-torch metal tumor-free welding. A stepper motor is used for stud head division, and a machine head slide is used for linear guide. Precision welding is ensured.

4. A mechanical-electrical integrated welder is a studded tubes welder. The electric control part uses PLC program control and parameter setting for the man-machine interface, and the operation is simple and reliable. The welding parameters are controlled by a single board computer. Its performance is consistent and user-friendly.
