ASTM A179 Embedded G Type Finned Tube

The fin strip is tension wound and placed in the groove cut into the tube with approximately 0.4mm groove depth, then the bottom of the fin is guided into the groove and backfilled with base tube. Finally, firm up the fins by rolling the grooves enclosed in the bottom of the fins. G Type Embedded Finned Tube has a maximum operating temperature of 400°C.

ASTM A179 Carbon steel tubes are heat treated after the final cold draw pass at 1200°F(650°C) or higher, used for mechanical purposes involving machining or heat treatment, to achieve good tolerance, smooth surface, and mechanical performance.
